  • I'm moving...

No - not in real life.  Only my blog!

That’s right - after almost 6 years of blogging, I’m switching to yet another blog host.  My third.  When I made the switch from Blogger to Xanga, I was at a place where I needed convience.  I needed ease.  I had a two year old and another soon to come along.  I needed to simplify my life.  Now I’m only finding it complicated by Xanga!  Their updates and complicating my life in ways that I just don't need.  And I'm tired of paying for them to make my life more complicated.

I took a week off of blogging.  I’m no longer satisfied to just “go along” with Xanga and the mess and limitations they place on having a blog with them.  While it’s great for people who are just getting started in blogging or wanting to just maintain a blog for keeping in touch, I’ve found one headache after another for a user like me who wants to include things like java in their posts.  It’s made me dissatisfied enough that I’m leaving Xanga.  With or without my posts.  I’m switching to WordPress.

I feel your pain. That's why I switched back to old xanga, which has frustrations and limitations of its own. A few years ago, I had wordpress uploaded to my website, but I like the convenience of someone else having to worry about security. I didn't realize they had a place to host your blogs with their software. Pretty neat.
