Well, obviously I haven't gotten around to posting pictures, but I deserve a break since there has been a lot of catching up to do. The troublesome fish tank has cleared up nicely, we did a smaller than usual (meaning more like how normal people do) water change and now the tank is crystal clear. The new snail is even still alive!

Work was hectic yesterday as it is year end and all the accounts payable and expense reports were due for the final closeout. Did they get done? Well...sort of. Luckily the big boss is cool with it, since it's his fault anyway that the stuff will be entered late. His wife helps him out with getting the receipts organized (by event, even!) and we were on the phone all day long. She was a riot, and funnily, she also seemed more upset at the lateness of the expense reporting than I was. She used to work in our company so she understands the whole thing about corporate treasury nazis. Me, any shouting done over the phone slides right off, but she was getting pissed just thinking about the unavoidable shriekfest I will soon encounter.

Ok, today I super-glued a paper towel to my hand. Don't ask.

Today is the day we sign up for knitting class! I'm so excited that I've been browsing (when I should be working) knitting sites for cool patterns and designs. I found this one: Kyoto that I think rocks pretty hard. It may say "kimono-style" but it looks more like a cut off hanbok to me, minus the straps you tie in the front. I like this one: Top Secret quite a lot too, and it looks pretty easy to make.

I have begun embroidering my new scarf. It's hard work! The material is this tight gray fleece which takes a lot of strength to push the needle through. I'm doing a retro snowflake pattern like this:

Only, hopefully, it won't look so stark on the actual scarf.

Update:

FUCK. The class is full. Other classes are a let down at this point, as they are not held in adorable little shops named, "Knit Happens" with the cute pink and green decor. Fuckers.
