Dancing again, oh my it was good.
I've been aware of the Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dancers for a while, but have never been able to make it down.
Last night, Valerie and I drove the hour to visit their class. Oh what fun! They were so welcoming, and had a great beginning class that Valerie could jump into. We stayed for the next class so I could dance as well. Then they had tea. All of them seemed very excited to have us, and wanted to know where I had danced before. One of the instructors knew Moon and Torf. It's a small world for Scottish Country Dancers...
It felt so good!
We danced a great jig called The Snake Pass. Has anyone done it?

but I didn't know there was a dance called that. Did it have a figure where three people
follow the person in front of them in sort of a zig zag path?
Sounds fun!! I'm so happy you finally got to do SCD where you are, and I loved hearing your story of how it went!
I got such a delight out of reading this post!
On a different topic: When I was enjoying the movie version of Twelfth Night recently, I thought of you, because you recommended it to me. I really love that movie now in so many respects (love the music and cast)! I also read the play because I liked the movie so much, and I watched the 1988 version of the movie (more like a play, but fun anyway). Online there is a RSC site about a production in which Viola is played by a man and Sir Toby and other male characters by women. It's kinda creepy, but interesting nonetheless, especially considering in Shakespeare's day boys played the ladies. (There are a couple clips on the website.) Anyway, thanks for recommending the 1996 movie!
P.S. Thanks for the prayers.
