  Truck

Bought a 1989 Toyota pickup truck yesterday, cheap, kinda beat up and old. 128k miles. It starts and runs, and the air works. It has no stereo, no power anything, and has a crack in the windshield right in front of my view.

Perfect.

It's fun. I'm honestly enjoying the old car smell, the sound of the tired mechanicals, the soft, worn out suspension, the creaky sound the door makes when it shuts, and so many other things about this car, including the fact that it's mine; I don't owe anything on it.

I'm not sure yet if I'll sell it when I find the replacement MR2, or if I'll keep it as a delivery truck for when someone wants more than 1 system at a time or wants a big monitor with their system or something. Other than that, most things have fit in the MR2 OK.

The insurance company called this morning; the MR2 is totalled.

Nope ... this is definitely not the kind of truck anyone races in.  It's happy to just make its way down the road and that's about it.
