Off-Broadway, Blue Bloods Wake Up Black
JCD
Playbill and the Village Voice review the play White Chocolate, which we first told you about on September 19. In the play, two Manhattan blue bloods wake up to suddenly find themselves melanin-enhanced. Lynn Whitfield and Reg E. Cathey are the affluent Manhattan couple waiting for the husband’s appointment to director of the Metropolitian Museum of Art. Interracial plot twists abound when they also find out their daughter is engaged to her Chinese American boyfriend. Written by William Hamilton from The New Yorker, White Chocolate is currently playing in New York City at the CenturyCenter for the Performing Arts.
