Karma and Effect

Okay, so I don't have much to say...but I do have a game (that I got from my cousin).  I post song lyrics, and you all guess the song.  Without cheating by searching for the lyrics on Google, that is.  And for this song, I'll give you extra points for telling me what its about (lots extra, because it's an easy song but the meaning is not obvious). Here goes:

"Touch
I'll stand for nothing less
Or never stand again
These are the limits when one's buried
This body's left the soul
Could we have known
Never would I, helped to nail down
Careful of drifting off
Now losing taste and touch
Turning a pale blue leaning in to say
This body's left the soul
The brain needs oxygen
Can't sneak around this bait
His catacomb has got me by the chin
This body's left the soul

Could we have known
Never would I, helped to nail down
With nothing to gain
Here's the clincher, this should be you
Now saturate

This happened to be never changing
Holding inside, the phobia of you
Made cold and crippled, ending it all"

Good luck!

Dude, it's 9:00am on Sunday morning and I am AWAKE...why??  I did go to bed fairly early last night (midnight), and that is nine hours of good sleep, mostly due to a very comfortable bed and some Sudafed.  That's another thing.  I've been sick for three + weeks.  What the hell is up with that?  I'm beginning to think I have allergies or some other terrible makes-you-sick-all-the-time-with-no-really-good-solution problem, but I'm not going back to the doctor to have tell me that nothing's wrong.

I went and visited lots of family this weekend.  My little cousins were so unbelievably cute!! I can't believe Kailee is already one.  They grow so fast (sniff).

Oooh, I know.  I can call my mom this early.  She's always up early, and it's Mother's Day.  Everyone...call your mother today!  Just a friendly reminder!

Well, I don't have much else to say...hope everyone has a good weekend!

P.S.  Rache, I had a really weird dream about you last night!  I hope you're okay (it wasn't exactly a good dream), and I love you!

P.P.S.  I love the rest of you too!

Family Guy, Vol. 2 (Season 3)

Okay, so it's been a while and I know I promised I would post sad concert stories...but I think I wore those out on Rachel's website...

So...it's Saturday night and I should be getting way more work done than I am.  We're went to Chinatown for dinner tonight...again :(  Am I the only one who doesn't think that going to some small, sketchy Chinese restaurant 25 minutes away is quality dining?  I'm sorry, but I'm just not into that.  But that's what the group wants and we have to follow the group if we want to go to dinner with the group blah blah blah

On the plus side, I'm watching Family Guy, which is freakin' sweet.  I LOVE Family Guy!!  I think Chris is the funniest, in a less often, more outbursty kind of way.

We played Balderdash... I am so good at that game!  It was really fun, but now I have to get back to work..

So...yeah.  I dont know what else to say.  I hope everyone who reads this is doing good.

Bye for now!

You know what I'm sad about?  I'm sad because Mitch Hedberg died.  It's really sad when anyone dies.  But now when I listen to his CD and I laugh because he's funny, I feel sad too.  Here are some of my favorite jokes of his:

" I opened-up a yogurt, underneath the lid it said, "Please try again." because they were having a contest that I was unaware of. I thought maybe I opened the yogurt wrong. ...Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me... "Come on Mitchell, don't give up!" An inspirational message from your friends at Yoplait, fruit on the bottom, hope on top."

"I think Pringles initial intention was to make tennis balls. But on the day that the rubber was supposed to show up, a big truckload of potatoes arrived. But Pringles is a laidback company. They said "Fuck it. Cut em up."

"My lucky number is four billion. That doesn't come in real handy when you're gambling. "Come on, four billion! Fuck. Seven. I need more dice."

Yeah, that's all for now.  I only recently heard about Mitch, but he was a great comic.

So...it's been a while.  I am in a very weird mood, but perhaps this is normal for me.  Making it a normal mood, but weird for everyone else.  Or something.

So...anyway.  Not much new is going on in my life.  I have a lot of work things going on this week.  And then I promised my friend I was going to walk in the Race for the Cure for breast cancer, but it's at 7:45 on Saturday morning!  Is it selfish of me to want to sleep instead of walk 5K (which btw, is A LOT.  or at least, it sounds like it.  another reason not to go)? Anyway, I need to go, b/c at the very least (all benefits for breast cancer research and my own feelings about doing something good, etc. aside) my sister, who actually hurt her ankle fairly badly last Sunday, is not only going to do it, but she's going to RUN the 5K.  So...the guilt will overcome if I don't go. Etc, etc

Today I was thinking about my art teacher in 9th grade and how she let Rache and I break class out on the porch for, like, 3 weeks.  It was amazing time to spend doing something so unproductive.  Wow...if life were like that now.  I miss Ms. Anderson.  And Rache.

On a brighter note, I would like to express to all of you that I currently have Korn, the Greatest Hits Vol. 1, in my cd player in my car RIGHT NOW.  Now, the only reason you all care is b/c everyday when I'm driving, I hope that there will be a survey or I'll suddenly become famous and somebody will get all up in my face and ask what CD I have in my car RIGHT NOW, as opposed to my favorite CD, which is much less spontaneous and, consequently, less cool (although my favorite CD is Origin by Evanescence and it couldn't be cooler).  So...for the record (now and when I'm famous), that is what I have in my cd player.  More updates to follow....stay tuned.
