Well, I signed up for NANO. November is National Novel Writer's Month, and I have officially signed up to "write my novel" LOL. If anyone is interested in doing this themselves, here is the site:
I figured it would be a fun way to see just how much I can do in just one month. Writing starts on November 1. I am not even sure I will stick with it, but I will at least try.
Not too much going on here. It is almost time for Fall Festival. I can't wait. I enjoy helping out with it. Last year we had around 400 or so people. This year sounds like it is going to be even bigger, as this year we are supposed to have some carnival rides. It's kind of handy that a carnival purchased some land outside town and are storing their rides and stuff there for the winter
. I imagine that the kids will really enjoy that. There are also going to be carriage rides and indoor games. And of course, for the grown ups, there will be free food and some prize giveaways. Last year I think they gave away an Xbox and some bicycles for the kids. Plus some other smaller things. Businesses seem to be pretty good about sponsoring it with prizes and supplies and stuff. And the police department lets us block off the street for it. I hope it isn't too cold. (It's been in the low 40's at my house at night--BRRRRRRRRR).I guess this is pretty rambly (is that even a word??) because I am tired. So, I guess that's it for now. Oh, I found another interesting website with some interesting pictures. It is here:
