Up and Down
So, Champ, how was your 5-day weekend in DC?
Up and down.
To make a long story short (and 5 days would make for a long story), I'll summarize with a numbered list (negatives first):
1. The DC scene sucks. Completely. Bitchy queens. And while it's true that, here in my small town, I may get hit on by a 50-something year old man wearing a toupee that looks like a sponge with goat-hair sticking out of it, at least he's genuine.
2. Jimmy informed me that, even though Mike moved away almost a year ago, and I moved away 8 months ago, he and I are still a topic of gossip. According to gossip Jimmy heard last Monday night, Mike and I recently got back together. WTF?!? This just goes to show that what other people think about me is not my business.
3. Kazzy and I actually reminisced about a wondeful idea Pookie had. We would get a 1967 Cadillac convertible, paint it hot pink, and then airbrush two lesbians in mid-coitus on the hood. Then, we'd drive it around DC, with Pookie standing in the backseat wearing an American flag bikini and pasties, firebombing all of the popular DC gay bars while dancing to "The Milkshake Song."
4. This one is a neutral to positive one. Alex-the-Ex and I had a cordial dinner together, but the conversation reminded me why he and I are not well-matched, so I'm thankful for that reminder.
5. I love that I no longer work in my old office. I visited, and the tension there was palpable.
6. Filip is the sweetest guy in the world.
7. Jen is still absolutely hilarious.
8. I love spending time with Kazzy.
9. I had a wonderful time with Jimmy at the National Gallery of Art and the Sculpture Garden. He and I can talk and talk and talk. Oh, and the conversations are actually meaningful.
10. I was very happy to be met at the airport, even though my flight was three hours late. It's always nice to come home to something friendly after an emotional up-and-down.

I thought I should remind you my name isn't Filip. =oP
@Emancip8 - I keep getting you two confused! Sorry! However, if you were to submit to a "taste test" to confirm your sweetness...
Where do I put my submission?
#9. sweetness,, That sounds great....
I need me some of that , both the gallery and the Jimmy-type.
