  • So new year's resolutions are supposed to come at the beginning of the year, yes? But my life is not yet stable enough to plan that far ahead. (Not to mention that I didn't make any resolutions in January.) So these are my "rest of the year" resolutions:

    1. No more overtime.

    2. Wash my dishes at least twice a week.

    3. Take work less seriously.

    4. Go to the Hollywood Bowl

    5. Become Orthodox.

Disclaimer: mid-year resolutions are not legally binding in any way. They are provided as serving suggestions only.

  • Those seem like pretty good resolutions to me.
  • serving suggestions, eh? reminds me of a certain episode of "The Twilight Zone" in which aliens come to earth. It seems like they're all peaceful and they offer to take some of us back to their planet to check it out - we even find a book on the aliens' ship whose title roughly translates "To Serve Mankind" (aw, isn't that noble of them). But only after the first group boards the aliens' ship do they discover that... it's a cookbook!

Anyways, your resolutions are admirable. May God grant you strength, perseverance, and grace in your keeping of them.
    Peace,

    PS: Next weekend!
  • To Serve Man-- that one's my very favorite Twilight Zone episode...
  • What's exciting at the Hollywood Bowl?

And I definitely feel for you on that dishes resolution.

btw - I actually have a journal on this xanga id now - check it out sometime.
