Exercise and Redheads

Update:
Look what I'm reading!  Who recommended this?  I LURVE it.  AND...I've been asked to write a column for next week's Jackson Free Press.  Am soooooooooooooo excited and nervous.  ACK

I detest the elliptical machine with a hatred of hate.

I wonder what the average first time is?  Anyone?  I won't even humiliate myself by sharing with y'all how long I lasted.  It was not pretty.

I blame that machine for the fact that I visited the grocery store, barely able to walk, right after gym.

I blame it for the fact that I was out of my mind and once again used the FECKING car cart, which I ran into at least 150 people with AND smashed over an entire display of candy bars.

And for the fact that I crashed into one of the automatic doors upon leaving said store and knocked it from its hinges.  After which I ran like hell laughing like a hyena.

I wonder if I could blame the corn cob in the gas tank of the car parked next to me on it as well...

My best friend in High School was a red head. She always had the most beautiful skin (still does :). The only myth I have heard is the Temper one. I have met few redheads that actually have a wild tempermant. I would love to particapate in your counting :)

I can stay on the treadmill forever at a high speed but I can only do the elliptical for like 5 minutes. Seriously. I don't get it at ALL.

My old boss had a total hate on for redheads. I have no idea why, but she instantly disliked anyone with red hair. I made fun of her on a regular basis because of this.  I always thought that red-haired women were beautiful.

Sounds.... interesting....  I'll see if I can remember to count while I'm out & about today....  I have 2 1/2 here in my house!  Caitlin is a true redhead, Darci is a "bottled" burgundy, & mine keeps looking more & more red instead of blonde.  Have a wonderful weekend!  ~Lori

First time on the elliptical, I literally lasted 30 seconds. No joke. The pain was too freakin' much for me. The next time I lasted 5 mintes, and worked up from there. I learned that after the first 5 minutes of intense burning, the muscles kind of go numb, and after about a week, I was doing 30-45 minutes. It hurts like hell, though.

I see two redheaded guys just about everyday. They are my nephews and are both teenagers. Myth about redheads... well, for both my nephews in school they were both thought to be terribly bad boys. My older nephew believed it eventually and started doing bad stuff, because he thought well if that's what they think of me anyway, I may as well act like it. My younger nephew turned it around though. He was thought bad, but acted soooooo darn sweet and funny to everyone that there was no way anyone could hold him to being *that* bad. So he is a little red headed jokester!

LOL on the shopping cart car thing. I hate those things soooo much. I'm kinda happy you bashed their door with it. Maybe they'll do away with them, so the kiddo's won't hound us to ride in them no more!

My boy thinks there's a lot more redheads around now than there were when we were kids, and in one way he's right. In any nursery group there'll be two or three redheads whereas when I was young there was only one. My hair is kind of red naturally, it definitely has a glow. I adore red hair in all shades, it's beautiful.

The MIL's a redhead-and unless you count the cloud of pestilance and despair that is always around her-she floats alone.  Strange study.

Get this:  My sister is a TRUE redhead.  And she looks just like me.  So yeah, she has a complex because people just stare at her.  Corean eyes, red hair, hazel eyes and freckles.  Heh.  But I must say... she's absolutely beautiful.  And I think they say red heads have tempers.... that's really true for my sister.  I think redheads are friendly... if I had to pin a stereotype on them at all.

The first time on an eliptical, I lasted 2 minutes and almost fainted.  For real.  Now, I love the machines and usually go for about 45 minutes with no problem.  You'll get there... just work your time up slowly.  Trust me... you'll end up loving it!  There's always a wait line at my gym for them.

I love redheads.  As a matter of fact, I was surrounded by them most of last weekend.  And something about that creamy white skin is very appealing.

I despise that machine, I feel like my legs don't get the rythym of that thing.  As far as redheads go I dardly ever see any around here, I have a friend that is readheaded and has the most beautiful hair and skin.

Well, I have two stepdaughters that are red heads (one more than the other), a neighbor and a co-worker. I see them every day all day! lol.

I'm a natural red head, and I am very mild tempered and not ugly or gorgeous. Just kind of average-cute from what I've been told (and my own assessment as well). I did notice the redhead cluster phenomenon recently though. As I was checking out at the local Safeway, I noticed that 3 cashiers in a row were red heads. It was so strange I almost commented on it, but then I did't b/c I figured they might be coping one another. Two of them were definitely dye jobs. One seemed to be real and her hair was a dark auburn bordering on brown.

Heck, I can answer that right now. I see 4 redheads every day: 1 female that I sleep with, another female that I yell at to get off the phone after bedtime, and 2 males who hold the world's record for "Most Video Games Played In A Day".

In general, I think redheads (well, women anyway) are BEAUTIFUL.

And there is one myth that's true: "Red on the head! Fire in the..."

I won't finish that. This is a family site.

Ok, the corncob thing has me baffled... What is the deal with that?

As for the elliptical, I would say it takes some getting used to. I still don't love it, but I can stay on it for over an hour now. I think that running has helped me get used to doing it though. Maybe not.

I am going to keep my eyes out for the redheads. My son has 1 redhead in his class and I have a "friend" who is a redhead. The kid in my son's class is cute now, but I have a sneaking feeling she will not be cute later in life. And the "friend" is not overly attractive. I hestitate to use the word ugly, but I don't know if I think it sounds mean, kwim?

i think you are living on the edge.

now - on to redheads - my best friend is a red head as is her mother. my brother and grandfather are and were red heads. i usually go red every fall/winter season but for what ever reason did not this time. i notice i am considered sassy when i am crabby as a red head and bitchy when i am crabby as a blonde. i get the same amount of attention either way. i dont have the eyebrow eyelash issues you all have since i am not natural anything. i have a great eye brow story from my red headed friend tracy, though. remind me to share it. and she has a brand new curly red headed grand daughter born this past monday. hooray for all my beautiful red headed friends!

I don't have any opinion about red hair, but I think we can guess how Sugar Dadddy feels about it.

I will have to count, but I am a strawberry blonde, my mom is auburn, and my son was a redhead when he was younger, but his hair is turning brown now like his dad's.  My hubby's best friends are red headed twins.

I see a redhead everyday...when I look in the mirror. For me, my favorite color hair is red. I used to really like Lindsy Lohan, before she died her red hair and became too skinny. I'll keep my eyes out and let you know how many I see in a day.

When my niece was around 3 y/o, she made it known to everyone that she detested redheads.  We have NO idea why she hated them but I would always tease her and tell her that I was going to marry a redheaded man (I didn't).  NOW, she dyes HER hair red:  http://www.xanga.com/LoserYesYouAre/446655270/item.html
