The Weather
"TOKYO (AFP) - Japan may be at the cutting edge of green technologies, but its capital has the least environmentally conscious residents of eight of the world's richest cities, a poll showed.
More than four in 10 Tokyo residents -- 41.6 percent -- said they "don't want to sacrifice a convenient lifestyle to prevent global warming," according to the poll results published recently by Japanese advertising agency Hakuhodo."
Good they shouldn't have to. It's a hoax. Here's another news story that didn't run on my newscast because of its crap level.
The story is about pandas being protected by the Endangered Species Act because of global warming. Yes, we are protecting animals because of an unscientific phenomenon. Here is the actual direct quote from the story.
"Global warming pollution is driven by fossil fuel consumption, it's driven by coal and oil and gas, it's driven by the cars we drive. And until we get a hold of that reality, polar bears are gonna remain endangered."
I didn't make that up. It was actually presented to me to put that mindless drivel in a newscast. I'm not gonna change my way of life every time somebody comes up with a cause, especially when it doesn't exist. You can call it global warming, climate change, climate crisis, I don't care. I like to refer to it as a climate cycle. People are now saying that there will be record levels of global cooling soon.Wait a minute, but I thought.... oh crap, does that mean I need to drive my car more? We better build more coal plants. We gotta do something about this people. We are in a crisis and we need to change our way of life. Ahhhhhhh.....
Do you know what you get when you have global warming and global cooling? You guessed it, the weather.
