The Past Affects the Present & The Future
Ever feel as though your world has been shattered into a million pieces? As if everything you've ever known has been destroyed. All you're left with are a few broken memories and the disturbing thoughts that have been wrapped around your head for so long that you still cannot release them. The nightmares continue to haunt you effortlessly, every single night of your life is spent reliving your horrific past. You cannot escape. You've tried therapy, it only made you go through your past all over again, except pushed to the tenth degree.
You've tried talking it over and trying to work through the pain, but there isn't a white light at the end of this tunnel. There's too much dark and too much rain falling, your sight is blinded by the hurt you've endured in your life. No matter what you do, dealing with it has never even became an option. After all of this, your life is still a broken picture frame. You begin to wonder if your life is ever going to be given back to you, everything has been taken away from you. You begin to wonder even more so, if you will ever be able to get over this. To get over this is to move on, to move on is to carry on, and to carry on is to live your life the best way that you can - and you can do this. You can.

I write to work out my feelings. It's cathartic. Sometimes I write about myself, but I also write fiction, so I can work out my more aggressive feelings without actually acting out. There's nothing more frustrating or unpredictable than life, but at least when I write, I can control the lives of my characters.
@harmony0stars - Very good. That's so true, it seems we cannot control our lives sometimes, but we can always control our characters.
@harmony0stars - So, so true! I do the same thing. It really does help!
