see relatedI really want whatever comments/criticisms you all may have on this one... this is one I want perfect before begging my brother to make it sing :D.
Darkness fell that day
Voices mocking die away
Heaven, earth both hush in pain
The Maker here at Calvary
Nearing death
What loss
Defeat
Hope now dies
And Love groans in agonyIn this single moment
A world collapsing down
In this single moment
A light to pierce the gloom
In this single moment
A curtain tears in two
And bursts forth a glorious victory
In this single momentDarkness falls tonight
But does not still the mocking
Voices tumble in your head
Glares and glances haunt the echo
Escape
Hide away
Take your chance
And leave it all behind
ButIn this single moment
A world collapsing down
In this single moment
A light to pierce the gloom
In this single moment
A curtain tears in two
And bursts forth a glorious victory
In this single momentNo fear, no shame
No fight or run away
No tear, no wrong
Can steal me now
I know I am bought with a price
Bought to win this time in Christ
Redeemed for victory of life
In this single moment

This bit gives me some pause, but to hear it sung, it might not.
But does not still the mocking
Voices tumble in your head
Voices following mocking makes possibly read this way
But does not still the mocking voices
Tumble in your head
I'm also not sure of this line. Glares and glances haunt the echo
I'm torn between really liking it and thinking it doesn't work. Perhaps if echo came first to tie in with the voices so that people don't lose the idea of where the echo comes from? Not sure.
I think if I heard it sung, I could make a better call.
I think Mmhmm is my least favorite Relient K album. What say you? I do like the band a lot, and I get such a kick out of their lyrics.
