I'm home again today. We had about 15 hours of freezing rain yesterday, last night and this morning. It's very slick out there. The dog was slipping all over when I took her out this morning. Definitely a good day to stay in.This photo gives a good picture of downtown looking west across the river and the freeways. Normally this would be loaded with cars at this time of day.
I don't know what Mr. S will think, but I'm not going to risk life and limb to go sit in the office and be bored all day. Really, no one should be working today besides snow plows, police & fire, emergency rooms, tow trucks, and utility workers, all to respond to emergencies only. If everyone else stays home, there won't be as many emergencies to deal with. Oh, and the guy who chains the police cars, utility trucks & etc. should be working, too. Everyone else, stay in! I'd even forgive the mailman for not showing up today.

Hi OC --- I have the WORST case of cabin fever, but thanks to a late night trip to the grocery store on Monday, have plenty of SBD-friendly foods to eat. The problem is, yesterday I kept grabbing nuts whenever I was hungry (which seemed to be ALL THE TIME).
I'm instituting a "no nut" law today. And I will ride the exercise bike, as much as I loathe it.
Take care and stay warm!

We have a fireplace here. I always thought it would be neat to be snowed in, roasting marshmallows over our fireplace.
You should set fire to Mr. S. Okay, maybe not. Then again...
Awesome pix OC! Nice to talk to you yesterday. Def must meet when the thaw comes!

Nick's stuck in Orange Co, CA because Portland airport was closed... So he MIGHT be able to get there tomorrow afternoon, but it's touchy.
Luckily, I know how to get to the most awesome mall in the world from relatively any point because I used to live in OC...
