Okay, for those of you who I am not linked to on facebook, here are some of my favorite quotes:

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose" ~ Jim Elliot

"We are all dysfunctional , thank goodness we serve a functional God",

"For we were called to freedom, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, serve oneanother" Galations 5:13

"Remember today little brother, for today, life is good"
~Boromir (LotR)

"Never fear shadows, they simply mean that light is near by"

"Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting it to work"
~Albert Einstein as told to me by Eric Jesse Wright

"Bitterness is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die"

"A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are made for" As told in a letter from Amy, to Abigail Jane on the occasion of her high school graduation.

"There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it." Edith Wharton

"You have made me for Thyself, for Thee alone my God, and restless is my heart till its rests in Thee." ~St. Augustine

"It was when I was happiest that I longed most...The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing...to find the place where all the beauty came from."

--Till We Have Faces

"'Yes,' said Queen Lucy. 'In our world too, a Stable once had something inside it that was bigger than our whole world.'"

--The Last Battle

"'Safe?' said Mr. Beaver...'Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. but he's good. He's the King, I tell you.'"

--The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.
C. S. Lewis

The safest road to hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.
C. S. Lewis

“Be not deceived, Wormwood, our cause is never more in jeopardy than when a human, no longer desiring but still intending to do our Enemy’s will, looks round upon a universe in which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys. ”

–C. S. Lewis “Screwtape Letters”

"Then the lion said-but I don't know if it spoke-'You will have to let me undress you.' I was afraid of his claws, I can tell you, but I was pretty nearly desperate now. So I just lay flat down on my back to let him do it. (Eustace speaking, from 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader' by C.S. Lewis)

"Real gold fears no fire" ~Randy Alcorn "Safely Home"

"The Wild Willows Sing"

there are willows outside your window, wild ones, weeping for joy. Their

arms are stretched downward, and they swing to and fro in the breeze.

What are they weeping for?  You. They are overcome with gladness, joy

bursts forth from their leaves!

I just found out what an amazing poet, my ten year old sister Bethany is. This is not one of her poems. But her poems reminded me of this; one of Jonathan's many poems. I still haven't figured out how to post pictures yet! :-/  It would help, I think if we had a digital camera...hehe

So, Jonathan and I got our Christmas tree last Sunday, and decorated, and are now redecorating it, as we have been making ornaments, and ghetto rigging lights and I am "sewing" a garland for the tree. The theme is: creativity. The color scheme is purple, green, opal, and some turquoise. It shall be fun to add over time as we have resources   For now, we are using mainly just left overs from the wedding.  What fun days...I am afraid they shall pass away far too quickly!

Yesterday I was once again privileged to see the bioluminescent jellyfish!

The idea of posting is simply overwhelming!  I have so much to say, yet when it comes to posting on the internet for the whole world to see, I suddenly become very quiet. The Lord is faithful. Jonathan and I just celebrated our six month anniversary. We have been so blessed with eachother. Gosh, life certainly isn't easy. It seems like one of our cars is constantly having problems, I struggle with an ongoing illness, and there are always bills to pay, yet, we still manage to stay blissfully happy. God is so faithful!!! (I haven't mentioned that yet have I?)   We went and cut a 7 foot Douglas fir on Saturday and decorated it on Sunday (our actual six month anniversary).  It is so beautiful! On Thursday, Jonathan had to work, so we weren't able to celebrate with his family in Nashville, so I actually got to make an entire Thanksgiving dinner! I was really nervous about the turkey, but I asked both of our mother's for tips, and the turkey actually turned out fantastically! We dressed up in formal attire for dinner and then went with everyone in my family save Dad ( :- ( )to see the Illusionist at the cheap theater (lovely movie by the way, we shall some day own it). Crazy thing, is after the movie this girl spilled her grande huge coke and it spattered all over Jonathan and I. (Serves us right for dressing in formal clothes to a movie theater!  We had fun just the same though....)

To add to the whole narration concerning cooking...I also finally learned how to make bread and used our equipment for the first time this week to grind fresh whole wheat flour and make homemade sourdough bread. Once you have the equipment, making your own bread really is the cheapest way to go, and it is so good for you! I am looking into making my own yogurt. Jonathan and I make our own version of superfood drinks for breakfast, and the only way to make it more healthy, would be to make our own yogurt. Yogurt is really good at providing your body with the good bacteria, and thus helps to better digest all of the other good things that you intake from vegetables ect.

I am currently working part time at Pearle Vision as an optician in training. So far its been a really good job. I really needed to be working part time since Jonathan is going to school full time along with working full time at starbucks. The Lord has really blessed me with this job, and just enough extra income, so that I can still stay at home and take care of our home and my husband. For the most part, I am able to work, when he is either at work, or at school. (as an extra little bonus, I get to go to the aquarium for free tomorrow along with one free guest pass...of all the free little things they could have given us, we get to go to one of Jonathans favorite places!!! We now have five pet frogs and toads by the way. It's really fun to watch them in the new enviornment that Jonathan recently set up for them. (He constantly has 5 different projects going, he is constantly challenging me to be more creative and resourceful with my time and brain that has been given to me by our creator...Praise the Lord!)

Lately in whatever leisure time we have had I have been walking, solving sodoku, watching Remington Steele and  the Hallmark channel's christmas movies, reading Elizabeth Elliots biography of Amy Carmichael: "A Chance to Die".  The most influential book since I have been married has been: "Let me be a woman" by Amy Carmichael.  Jonathan and i have also been making christmas ornaments whenever we sit down for a movie, and working on other various projects in the house (like designing, and building are own exotic armer (for way cheaper then anything we could buy...we decided to finally do this after months of searching out thrift stores to no avail!)

We now officially have verizion! And Jonathan has changed his number, so if you need it, contact one of the Contarinos...

alright I think I am gonna go and try to get someone to teach me how to post picts...

By the way, we don't have internet at our house, only when Jonathan goes to school, or when we are at my parents...
