  • THE GREENER, THE BETTER

green home Who says that home furniture and decors cannot be of help to our environment? Well you won’t be able to se how it works to help the environment but it does. Let us take your ceiling lights for example. These lights are using energy, which is sourced from our environment. The concept is to get low energy using pieces for your home accents. Pendant lights are highly recommended for this purpose because it is capable of reducing the glare and heat that can be transferred in the temperature of the room; thereby preventing you from using air conditioners and or electric fans. This is when you save energy and you help the environment from its continuous depletion.

Pendant lights may be like those simple ceiling lights but these are more functional and elegant to own. At most, it can turn your home into a better lived-in place or even to a haven room. But of course, it will depend on the choice you make when acquiring. So it is advised that you make a good round of all the choices you find. Make sure that every piece will complement the overall interior designing of the room where you will install it. And also, make it a point that it will not mess your motif or the theme of the room to get the best benefits from its installation.

  • CAT-iq Design Competition To Start Soon

Technology is ever growing.  In the past, we have to deal with wires which get all tangled up when using the home phone.  With the advent of DECT phones, we no longer have that problem.  But it does not mean that development would stop right there.

That's why it's a good thing that DECT Forums came up with the CAT-iq Design Competition which is open to any design students the world over.  The aim of the said competition is twofold.  The first is to provide an arena for students around the world to showcase their talent in designing cutting-edge products.

The second aim of the said contest is for the industry. The said competition will show how different design students approach the same problem.  From that, new ways of designing new technology will surely come up which will only benefit the industry.

Apart from the said aims, the contest will also give the chance to students to find the right people in the industry to back their designs.  All in all, the CAT-iq Design Competition will benefit the students, the industry, and the consumer public ultimately.

  • Chime my day

There are days when I begin to hate the chime we have at the front door. It wakes me up often! But now, I am beginning to love it back because of the melody it brings our home each time the wind blew. In fact, I wanted to add another at the back door so I can enjoy the serene melody it brings anywhere I am in the home. chime
