This last weeks I really wonder what university is good for.

Having a Diploma that proves taht you spend 4 or 5 years of your life learning unrelevant stuff that yo forget the day after the exam?

When it comes to sciences, or health, OK  studies do seem important, other wize you dont have a repair point. But when it comes to humanities, art, etc... most of the courses are awfully theoretical, the professor tells you what HE thinks the author, or thinker or whatever was trieng to express... stuff that does not even help for a dinner conversation on that wil not make a diferrence the day you will be workilng in the field.

More over as a university student you past 1/4 of you time to write papers to impress the professor and get a grade, but after all a paper that will not change anithing or contribute on anything, you work for nothing, just to get a grade that will once more give ou a number that will never messure your aptitudes as a human being.

I know, all this sound awfully pesimistic, but after more than 3 years of university I really  wonder if this time has only served to loose time and money..

ANd don't get me wrong , I am a good student, I get good grades and stuff, but still I don't know where this will lead me, I jsut wished I could start working and stop fooling around.

Thanks for the comment.  I hope the content willeep you interested.  Hey, don't knock the university experience - it's what we all have to go through to get that little piece of paper that makes the rest of life easier.  Try getting a job that you really like without it.  Write what you want then, and then you'll see the shrivelled imagination of the dried out professors kick into gear!  Keep going - you can do it!

I agree with aturtun there.  The time punched in University is essential.  Although I sometimes wonder why I'm here myself.  But..... if I don't I don't get a job, unless i'm gonna be a jackass the rest of my life...
