Well it has been a week since I left that picture of an alligator gar up. I am amazed that many of you have never seen one. So, I am not sure if
featured_grownups is still doing a post or not, but here is my post... not about dead bodies, but about water.
As a young girl I would spend summers with my Aunt and Uncle at Lake Bistineau in Louisiana. My uncle always carried a gun in the boat... now remember this was back in the late 1960's and early 1970's, so carrying a gun was not really a big thing in the south. If he ever caught an alligator gar he shot it, also snapping turtles and alligators. He considered this a good deed to the fish that he was trying to catch.

Lake Bistineau
I don't remember when the alligator gar dream began, but it has been one of my reoccurring dreams for sometime. Sometimes I am fishing in a boat, but most time off the shore. I get a tug on my line and I am really excited, and I pull and pull and reel and reel and finally I get the thing to the water's edge and it is was one of these hideous alligator gars with it's a huge mouth full of grisly, ugly teeth.

The alligator gar is mostly native to the lake of the south, and can also live in water that is partially salt water.

This is almost exactly what my dream looks like.
The second reoccurring dream involving water takes place in a lake, an ocean or a river. This annoying dream has taken place in all of these places. As a child I loved swimming... as an adult, I should, but don't. However, in my dreams I go swimming quite a bit, unfortunately it usually is frustrating because moss will be tangled all around my body making it difficult to swim. I keep trying and trying, and I feel that often I swim through this scratchy mess all night, and generally wake up feeling quite frustrated and tired.

Hydrilla seems to be the culprit in most of my swimming dreams.
Last night I dreamt I stopped at a grocery store because it was about to storm, and I walked all over the store, but could never find the produce section, arghhhh and hmmm.
I will let you guys tell me what you think these mean...
In other news, Barack Obama made his announcement this morning to run for president. I have to say that he is an awesome speaker, and we teach his
"Audacity of Hope" speech at school as an example of good rhetoric. It is too early for me to decide who I will vote for, but I am excited to see him run, I hope the democrats pick him and not Hilary.
Well for now that is all.
Peace, Love and Energy,
Tricia

Hope you can make sense of those dreams. Maybe then those nasty alligator gars will go away!
Hope your Saturday is going well.

You might want to delve into the federalist papers and other works by the founders. They were very concerned about "great leaders" of the people. And history gives us a lot of examples of why their concerns were very valid.
Dear Tricia,
I wish I had the link. There was a website I stumbled across once that "interpreted" dreams. You clicked key words from your own dream stories and they cooked up meanings somehow.
Or else I dreamed it.
Never saw an "alligator gar" before. Not too many of them driving down the Harbor Freeway in downtown L.A. I just wikpedia'd the name. Very interesting. I'm conflicted about who I'm going to support this election. I was all for Hilary but I'm somewhat confused about her centrist leanings. I like Edwards, but probably for his speaking style more than his politics. Same with Obama. These guys are untried. I'd probably vote for an Edwards/Obama ticket over Hilary. But then again I would love to live to see our first female President, and I've always had respect for the Clintons. I'm glad I don't have to mark a ballot right now. May I should run. Then I could vote for myself. Heck, the Dems always have dozens of candidates up until the convention.
The bug thing came up for a few moments. I usually notepad my comments, so I just kept notebook commenting until the bug left, and then I copy/pasted what I had in the blogs. (Pretty clever, eh?)

i've seen that bug today too ;) silly bug!
dreams are strange. i'm sorry you have them over and over.
Looks like I better be on the look out around my atrea for that alligator gar.
Once the word gets out everyone will want one.
Stupid Xanga bug's been messing around with my stuff too. Bah.
I've only saw an alligator gar once, in a river aquarium in Tennessee. Wild looking creatures. My most recurrent dream involves my teeth breaking or falling out, but I don't know what that means.
I can handle either Obama or Hilary, but still looking at the whole field. It's early, yet.
RYC: Yep...you need to set the background so it stays static and doesn't repeat.
Here is a link: BOOM!
Its going to be 6 months before my sister and family can live in their own house again!
The fish so cute:p
I have no idea what water dreams mean but they are my only reoccuring dreams.
RYC ahhhhh don' think so but how bout you pretend to file your taxes this year and let me know how it comes out.

You asked about my poems..the chain link fence and the music in/out of my mind.
No, these poems were written at two different times of last year. The chain link fence was about a boyfriend of my daughter's and the music was written about the first time I made love to my husband...
I enjoy writing poetry and am glad that you enjoy reading it.. Funny, but I was never into reading poetry, but I love to write it... That's weird, isn't it?
