Y'know, without my parents, I'd probably be insane. The bad kind of insane. Crazy, not crazed. I thank God for my ever-so-knowing parents.

Dance starts on Friday! Latin class starts on Monday! I could probably bear to put Latin off for a few weeks, but it's about time dance started! Now I just have to decide what to teach them first....My right-hand girl is busy helping her family prepare for their adoption, so I haven't been able to teach her Posties; I don't think I'm brave enough to try to teach fifty people all by myself. Something easier for this first time....any suggestions? We already have the following:

The Virginia Reel
The Gay Gordon Mixer (step in, step out, pass the lady in, etc.)
The Cumberland Reel
Hunting-The-Fox
Some quadrille or other...
The Cumberland Long Eight
The Big Circle Dance (it's the first part of some other dance...hm...maybe I should teach them the second part...)
And some other thingies, but I can't find their names...

Waltzes are out of my depth, despite Anne's excellent instruction at Summer Academy. I'm afraid that I can't learn even from the best teachers in only 10 minutes. Perhaps I should kidnap Anne...nobody tell her! Anyway, I don't think my band of fiercesome homeschoolers could handle a "couple dance."
