My mom could have died on Wednesday night. Two teenagers were racing down our street about two miles away from our house, averaging about 60 mph (and one of them was, of course, on the wrong side of the road) when the wrong-side-of-the-road one had a head-on collision with a the car of a seventy-year-old lady. She died. He lived, uninjured. That lady could have been my mother. She was planning on going to the store for bread, but she felt too tired after working at the library. My mom could have been dead right now.

The kid is going to be charged with vehicular homicide.

I'm glad that I can't drive yet. I don't think that I'd be able to stand it if I killed someone. Not that I would ever do anything like drive at 60 miles an hour on the wrong side of the road, but still... Can you imagine?
