Of course, according to 'big oil' (can't imagine who in our government is associated with 'big oil' (wince)) such situations are all our fault, a public that refused to stand up and march in their favor in support of drilling in the Artic Wildlife Refuge (so silly of us, and they've never done anything ecologically irresponsible in the artic before... Other than a broken pipeline or two, or three... And there was that one time and that little boat, you could hardly even call it a ship, the Valdem or Valdoozy, or something thing foreign sounding like that)

Temporary suspension for environmental rules for oil producers here in the U.S.? What impact does he have with the price of crude purchased from the OPEC nations?  Nada.  1) We are way too dependent upon foreign oil.  2) Some kind of crackdown (with major fines imposed) should be effected against the automakers who continue to produce vehicles that operate at 10 mpg when technology is available to improve that considerably.  The automakers are in bed with oil producers and vice versa. 

I just wish there were a way we could all band together to make an impact big enough to hit the pockets of those greedy so-and-sos.
