I'm just venting....that's not what I intended to blog about.
I'm just totally amused at all the hoopla over The DaVinci Code. Why everyone is getting so up in arms over a simple novel (read: FICTION, people!!) and a movie based on it, is beyond me.
I've certainly read other much more controversial novels questioning the beliefs of Christianity. But they neglected to receive the media attention and idiotic falderal that has centered itself around this one.
But perhaps all this controversy is by design. The bigger the uproar you can cause, the more books you can sell, the more tickets when it finally opens in theatres. People who ordinarily wouldn't give it a second glance will probably throng (if they haven't already) to bookstores and theatres just to see what all the fuss is about. Marketing genius. Baaaaaa.....baaaaaa....
And then there's Jimmy Hoffa. Let's spend more tax dollars on that. I guess the FBI doesn't have any real concerns in the modern day world, so they're off digging up a farm in Michigan to see if they can find the remains of a man who has been dead over 30 years.....like if they do or don't find what they're looking for will make a difference. He'll still be dead.
Baaaaaa....baaaaaa.... we're all just sheep.
