Haha..I absolutely love the sales. Or just love London. Or something. I think actually it's the fact that I'm viewing the clothes/prices as per US dollar (when in fact it's not) but I have bought many a thing. Which I'm not sure I actually need but I'm rationalizing by saying that Ann Arbor is in the cold for like 8 months, so it's fine that I'm buying more winter clothes. Anyway, I'm sure all of you there who see me are sick of seeing me with the same old sweaters. Finally, you'll see me in somethign different.
On another note, I seem to be falling sick. It must be the combination of the starving before taking off from the US, the pollution and the fried food overdose that I had just after touchign down. Not to mention the serious lack of fluid intake as well. But all in all, I think I'm recovering pretty quickly. Just need to take naps and probably just buy some more things. So far, I've bought quite a number of things for the winter and a solitary pair of shoes. Now I'm regretting bringing quite so many things. If I didn't I'd have more space in my luggage and I guess i WOULD need more things than I've already bought. :P
On a completely unrelated matter, I'm really sorry and shocked at the events that have developed over the earthquake. I'd never imagine, in my entire life, that an earthquake would ever happen quite so close to home and with such intensity and ferocity. Just goes to show you how frail and fragile we are when it comes to dealing with Mother Nature. My deepest condolences for all those who lost their lives within a blink of an eye. I'm grateful that no one I know was in any way connected to the quake. All tall buildings should be tested and checked upon I say. No matter how far we are from the incident, we should take the necessary steps to prevent things falling on top of our heads.
By the way, I reiterate that I hate people with fake accents. If you were born with one, fine. If you were raised in a foreign country, fine. If you are talking to ang mo's and sometimes you can help it, you're excused. I've blogged about this before so I guess i'd leave it at that. But let me repeat: I hate these people. Hate people who fake their accents and use it when talking to others. When you obviously have no connections, have no excuse to use such a fake accent. Balls, if you can fake a stinkinig fake accent, you can 'fake' talking the way you've been talking for the past 15 years. So shit you. To each and every one of you who fakes your accent. Shit you,, shit you, and shit you. |
