Chicago

Went for a short trip down to Chicago on Tuesday. I came back Thursday. Not entirely sure whether I want to bore people with updates of my life so I don't think I shall turn this blog into that. It will only be my thoughts. I will post pictures up of my trip to Chicago soon. Eventually. Never. I suck at this picture thing..>.<

It was good fun though. Being of age and having friends of age and willing to go out is really quite excellent. I'd rather just post the pictures up. Soon. I hope. I blame Sui Jean if I don't get them. :P

Same goes for Upper Peninsula as well. I shall share my thoughts but not the daily activities. I'm just too lazy to try to put every single thing that happened down.

Strange thought that went my head the other day. Do you really keep your best friends? I've seen plenty of people with their so-called best friends. But to me, these are like your pair of favourite (and very dated) pair of jeans. They fit you for the moment. You absolutely adore them and they seem to go with everythign you wear. They're suitable for every occasion but only accomodate you for the particular period of time. Then you move on to the next pair. Yes, you sometimes get nostalgic and they do seem nice. But things just aren't the same after a while. Is this all really true? Do we move on from one 'best' friend to another? Maybe it's just some symbiotic relationship that we manage to leech of from each other over the years until we find someone else. You may still keep it touch and you get along well. But things just are never the same again. Strange? Or maybe it's just me.

Tired from a lot of driving today. Sleep time. Movie marathon tomorrow. Ah, the joys of being on summer holidays.
