My life (really) sucks

Sigh...so..guess what? My internet finally works. I called TMnet and finally got them to send someone over. I had to even pay them to make sure they'd come over and fix the damn internet. Lo and behold, my internet works! But wait! There's OBVIOUSLY something that's going to throw a wrench into my plans. My internet only works from this tiny little obscure room in my condo...this room being the damn pantry. This is because the lines are connected to the house here, and because of the stupid key phone system my house employs, there is absolutely no way for it to be accessed otherwise. I'm hoping the phone guy (which I promptly called afterwards) will be able to tell me otherwise but I seriously doubt it. Sigh.

Right now, the only option I can think of is to borrow Erin's wireless router (I've tested it and it does work) and make my whole house wireless. Which is actually a pretty damn good idea seeing as we've got like a couple of laptops in the house and my parents are obviously never going to learn to walk upstairs to turn on a PC. I would, however, like to own a working PC that I can start to play Lineage on again. ^^. Yes, it's probably a really bad idea but I've been wanting a new computer for quite some time now. I won't get the best but just something competant. I'm even willing to leave in the kitchen (due to proximity issues with the pantry) and game from there! It will kind of suck though but then I'd have my laptop for other uses like...word processing and what not.

I've already been to my interviews at Accenture and CIMB. I'm (so it seems) going to be called back to go in and talk to the respective companies again. CIMB has even been so kind to tell me that I will be presenting (powerpoint presentation) some topic at a later date. This will be before a panel of 3 and will be in fact my second interview. Bugger. All this for a management trainee program? Seems kind of excessive if you ask me.

All in all, a pretty exciting 2 days since I've been back. Even managed to sneak in a swim. Hoping there will be football soon. My heel however, is taking bloody forever to heal 100%. It still kind of hurts sometimes, depending on how much time I spend on my feet during the day. Perhaps it's my shoes. I haven't yet managed to find a new pair of futsal boots yet. This is because my choices are rather limited with someone owning like a million different pair of shoes which leaves only the ugly ones behind. And I don't really want to own something someone already has. Although I only wear them for like 2 hours in a whole entire week. But you can see my dilemma..:P

No other interviews are lined up although Intel has kindly responded but I fear that they have merely dumped my resume into their bank and will call me sometime in the (much much) later future. Ah well....
