  • Works in Progress

I am almost embarrassed to admit how many works in progress are currently in my house.

Not almost.  I am.  I'm so embarrassed that I'm not even going to post all of them here.  I'll only cop to the following three this week.  Maybe next week I'll cop to more.

Theo's baptismal robe is coming along slowly.  This is done in KnitPicks' merino lace, using a pattern whose provenance I've already forgotten.

I don't know when I'm trying to finish this by.  I've figured out that it'll fit him until he's at least 18 months, with the inherent stretchiness of garter stitch and all.  So, it may be awhile before he's baptized.

His winter blanket is similarly progressing apace.  It's about a third the size I feel like it should be eventually.  I started with a pattern from Cables Untangled, but I'm also making it up as I go.  I'm using KnitPicks' Swish Superwash, the only washable wool I've ever actually liked.

And, in spite of having two WIPs with somewhat pressing due dates, I started something else.

In all fairness to myself, I had just finished two objects, one of which I documented a few days ago, the other of which is an iftgay for someone who eadsray this ogblay.

And then this new thing just arrived on my doorstep.  As if from nowhere.  Or as if I'd ordered it from somewhere.

So I had to start it.

Can you guess what it is?
