. . . jiggety jumping jehoshephats.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love my own bed?
We're back from our Christmas travels, laden with many things we didn't start out with, including a pound or two of flesh, I'm sure. (Actually, I'm not sure. I have no intention of weighing myself until January 7th, at which point I'll have at least a week of healthy living under my belt. And hopefully, a lot less of other things under there.)
I started many, many knitting projects to give away as Christmas presents this year. But unfortunately, I only finished two of them.
I already showed y'all the
Gecko Scarf for Isaac. The
mystery project that I started to "show" you also got finished. Here it is, modeled by Isaac (instead of the recipient, who wasn't around at the time):

This is the
Danica scarf pattern from Knitty, knit in KnitPicks'
Andean Silk, colors Navy and Mustard. Those are Dad S's school colors (Dad S being the recipient in question).
Dad S's school is in one of those "somewhere in the middle" states, so the football games can get a little chilly. The silk-merino-alpaca blend should keep his neck toasty warm.
(Oh, Dad, I forgot to tell you--you can probably machine wash the scarf on delicate, but under no circumstances should it see a dryer. You probably shouldn't even let the scarf find out that there's a dryer
next to the washer--it'll felt at the mere sight of it.)
I'm not sure Isaac's cut out to be a clothing model. I got him reasonably sober for this picture, but it didn't last long.

He's so silly.
