Cooking with Rachael Ray is expensive.
That is all.
Okay, that is not all.
I used to look somewhat bewildered and bemused when people would say something in the neighborhood of, "Well, somebody told me that meal planning would help me save money on groceries, but my grocery bill went up!"
In fact, I probably--inadvertently, mind you, with no malice aforethought--looked at them like they were out of their mind.
But now I understand. If by "meal planning," they meant "combing through cookbooks to find recipes for which I must purchase all ingredients and to which I adhere slavishly," then I can see how "meal planning" could be expensive.
Yikes.
We must get back to plug-in cooking 'round here. Speedily.

You know, I suspected this about Rachel Ray after looking through her books on Amazon. Yummy looking stuff, but not low budget cooking.
