I am still afflicted by knitting ADD. Instead of working steadily and well on a single project, I've flitted among many of those I currently have on the needles.
I did finish my sockettes:

They are cozy and warm! These are in
Knit Picks Essential Sock yarn in Shale. I used a short-row toe and heel, with a 3x1 rib on the instep and the cuff.
I've decided that I really do prefer knitting one sock at a time on DPNs. I get into a very happy rhythm that way, that just never comes with the two-at-once-on-two-circs method. I just have to make sure and do the second sock quickly, so that I remember what I did for the first one.
I also started a new sock. Isaac picked out this sock yarn for himself.

It reminds me of a racetrack--the green and yellow and checkered flags. I don't think Isaac was thinking that when he picked out the yarn. (He was just thinking "The faster I pick something, the faster we can get out of this store.") But it made him happy when I pointed it out.
I've been seaming Theo's winter blanket (just in time for spring).

And the squares for my mitered blanket.

This is the one I'm making entirely out of scrap sock yarn. See the brown square on top? Guess which sock yarn that came from!!
I'm a little stalled on this because I've just about run out of scrap sock yarn. I mean, I could break into my (small) stash of unused sock yarn, but that would kind of defeat the purpose. I'm feeling very in touch with my inner Ma Ingalls on this one (I don't let
her out very much, I assure you)--using every last scrap of yarn and all--and it would just be the height of decadence to use non-scrap yarn for a scrap blankie.
So I've just got to get busy making more socks!
And, lastly, I've been making progress on the rainbow baby blanket.

This is almost done, even. I'm just working on the decorative border.
So there we are. There's my flitting for the week.
I've got to do some serious thinking about what to knit next week. I'm proctoring the final exam for the NT class I'm doing. Three solid hours of knitting.
It's a tricky choice, though. If I take something simple, I risk boredom. If I take something complicated, I won't actually be looking at the students, which might allow them to cheat. (Not that they would. They're divinity students. Nearly divine, they are.) If it's too big, it's distracting to them and not terribly portable for me. Too small, I might finish it before the time is up. And it really should be something I want to be seen knitting. I mean, I like Theo's blanket and all, but seaming those long cable strips just seems a little
too Ma Ingalls by the fire. It almost seems unprofessional.
A very tricky choice indeed.

I vote for the socks...they are portable, small, interesting, and not-unprofessional.
I love your blankets...the sock yarn turns out so differently when knitted into a different shape. Lovely.
Very nice work! I love all the projects you have going. I am so boring and have one going right now. Well, I have more than one going, but only one that is active at the moment. The rest are sleeping for a very long time it seems.
melissaYou're a nut....I can't believe you have alllllll those projects!! I would forget which one was which...lol.
You really can't use non-scrap sock yarn on a scrap sock yarn blankie. That's just wrong. looks like you need to find a project for your non-scrap yarn. Since you really need to generate some more scrap yarn, I will make the sacrifice and allow you to knit socks for me. *sigh* I hope you appreciate what I'm doing for you. My favorite color is blue (any shade) and my feet are about the same size as yours.
I too vote for the socks. Although I have started Knitting for Noggins at our hospital and have found a ton of gorgeous hat patterns that also use sock yarn. I have finished two noggin covers and and am working on the third. Hats are very portable, easy to finish and Noggin covering is a charitable work. :)
Ah, Becky, I appreciate the sacrifice you're willing to make. All that, and great tax advice too!
Mom--what size noggins do you cover? Do you still do the grapefruit-orange thing?
No, actually the hospital has way more than they need of the orange/grapefruit size. They have actually requested cantalope/honeydew melon sizes. The pre-teen and teens really love the hats. Every child that comes to the hospital gets a noggin cover if they want. Its great.
