| | Here's my biggest WTF moment. I just heard that some greyhounds at dog racing tracks have tested positive for cocaine use. Apparently, the management at some of these places is doping up the animals so they can perform better. Disturbing...
Anyway, I just had my interview today and it went well (crossing fingers). It was at Harpoon Pictures, a company that represents directors and produces commercials. On my way to the interview, I saw Michael Imperioli. He plays "Christopher" on "The Sopranos."

I was about to cross the street on W. 30th and 7th Avenue when I noticed he was standing right next to me. He was wearing big sunglasses. I said, "Excuse me? I love your work." He seemed surprised and he said "Thank you" and shook my hand. I said, "Nice to meet you," but then I had to bolt. At least I let him know that I recognized him without drawing too much attention to him. It was about fifteen minutes before my interview and I still had to walk a few blocks.
Anyway, I got there just in time. The person I was speaking to was talking about how directors can't write. She said that someone who occasionally directs for the West Wing writes the most incoherent treatments ever. He makes a lot of subject-verb mistakes, and does other things like using the wrong their/there/they're and its/it's. And then she told me that she found out he used to be an English teacher. Whoa.
I'm at my g'ma's house right now and I'm going to see Troy at 3'00 (Mmmm...Brad Pitt in Classical Greek armor...). I wanted to see Kill Bill II, but there's no theatre in walking distance that's playing the film and I don't want to charge my MetroCard.
Also, I just met my grandma's new teacup Yorkie, "Pumpkin." She got it for Mother's Day. Everyone knows how much I love animals, however even I'm a little weirded out by the dog. Imagine a Yorkshire terrier that's smaller (yes, smaller) than a guinea pig. Granted, she's a puppy...but she's only going to grow a little bit bigger. Anyway, I find her creepy in a very cute way.
Oh well, I hope everyone's enjoying "Senior Week." I'll be back early afternoon Saturday and I want to see everbody. Yes, including you. Contact me and let me know if anyone wants to hang out. |
