Wow-ish

 

It's striking to see it in print:

Before each fall semester, Beloit College, in Wisconsin, takes time to remind professors and administrators that even as they are ravaged by the sands of time, each new class of first-year freshmen arrives at the same relatively inexperienced age. The majority of this year's batch of doe-eyed freshmen, who are typically 18 years old, were born in 1989.
