Orchids are truly amazing. I had a college professor who was a master orchid grower. He would bring orchids to friends at school, and you never knew when you would see an orchid on the circulation counter in the music library.

I've had much orchid heartbreak in my life.  I bring home beautiful flowering orchids from the store, and have yet to bring one to another generation of blooming under my watch.  I have 2 on my bathroom windowsill, well alive but flowerless for 2 years now.  It's so sad.

They are very touchy to grow I understand. I have only tried once with no success.
