Still exhausted...

The opera last night was really good. Very strong performance in my opinion. I had a few nit-picky gripes about costuming (Medici-style Venetian meets Elizabethan) and they had period costuming, but then were carrying around flashlights rather than torches/lanterns, but nothing that actually interfered with my suspension of disbelief. A few really stand-out moments musically and high quality acting from the entire ensemble. So in sum, I was really glad I went.

I'm just still exhausted from life, however. It was a real struggle to get out of bed this morning. After I got out of the shower and figured out what I was wearing today, I ended up laying down for a couple of minutes, which turned into almost a full half-hour. Ah well. I have grand plans to sleep in tomorrow! What I really need is a fireplace in my bedroom, so I can get that going tomorrow morning, stay cozy under the covers, sleep in, and when I wake up, just do some pleasure reading rather than trying to rush to accomplish anything.

Every now and then, one must find a moment to breath.

Unrelated, great Jason Mraz lyric:

“It takes no time to fall in love, but it takes you years to know what love is.”

Love Jason Mraz...and I love that song and the cd it comes from. I've slept in my living room - just so I can go to sleep with the fire place.
