4th of July
The Fourth of July came and went. I was a little upset that I missed the traditional barbecue and fireworks show. So, to fix my despondency, I decided to do the two things that immediately come to my mind when I think of America: Fast Food and Shopping! Because what's more American than stuffing your gut with mass produced meat-like patties and credit card debt? USA, USA, USA. Hoooah.

Deliciousness!
For shopping, there's nothing better than going to a Japanese candy aisle!

Imported candy too!

Packaged clam bellies. Tooth pick included. Yum!

Dried squid.

I also went to LaLaPort, a ginormous shopping mall in Minami-Funabashi. It's sale week in Japan. I made a killing at UniQlo (the Japanese version of H&M).

Moose roaming around the sporting goods store.

This could possibly be my favorite place in Tokyo. Bread Street on the first floor of LaLaPort. A veritable wonderland of bread!

Map of Bread Street. Don't get lost! Maybe you could leave a trail of breadcrumbs...

I love the colon candy. lol
Thanks for taking me along... I am glad your fourth was a good one!
creative thinking behind the pics - brilliant!
What cool pictures! :o) Glad to hear that you went the American way for the 4th.
Way to go! Tea marshmallows? Wow!
Tres cool. The bread street is great--I wish there was a bread street here! I also love the fact that it looks vaguely Germanic, since Germans are obsessed with bread. Or maybe it just looks that way to me.
The tea marshmallows are very intruiging; I would definitely try some of those. But what is "creamy powder creap"? Is that like pixie dust or KoolAid or something? Also, do clams have bellies(?)??
Darjeeling tea marshmallows? What will they think of next?
