 LOST SOULS

he is a lost soul, that one who says not the name !
om na mah si vay ya sings in his soul and his lips show not.
he does not know why or how he came to the mantra
but as a crazy man for the infinite source, so
he sings on and on, om na mah si vay ya , the MANTRA
he doesn't really know where he is, nor why
he has no answers, only he is in the Land of SIVA
floating on the raft with only five boards tied
on the ocean of samsara with a small raft, afloat
so, who is this person I talk of but not me, and why?
why? WHY? who really knows, so afloat with the five
only five boards tied with cords of pran, bound up
in the breath of Pran in the Japam,
OM NA MAH SI VAY YA

Poetry from Shankara's Siva Recollections.
