Aaaand, we're back...
BOPC finally showed up tonight after flaking last night. The man that came was the same man who called me three times last night, the first time to say he was going to be very late, the second to tell me that he was not approved for overtime and therefore wouldn't be coming, and the third time to confirm for tonight. It turned out to be the modem, which may or may not have been fried by the power problem on Saturday. Luckily, it was under warranty so there shouldn't be any charge for the replacement or for the "house call."
So I uploaded a couple of photos. First, the view from my seats for the series of tickets I bought this season:
I don't care for this view as much as the view I had last year. I was higher up, but directly behind home. Now that I look at this pic, I should have used the zoom a bit more, as the view is actually quite a bit better. The players don't really look like ants from where we sit!
And, here is "my" side of the garage pre-Clean Sweep on the left and post-Clean Sweep on the right:
The cardboard boxes on the far right of that picture went to the garage sale, so everything that we kept fits under the stairs rather than sticking out into the main space.
And the big green fish (a backdrop from the school play) is now on the ceiling.

I think I might be confused so correct me if I am ok? Wasn't it BOPC that fried your modem with a power surge? Why would you have to pay a service man or for a new modem over something that they did to equipment they provide? Like I said I could just be confused, that happens a lot in my universe.
Are you rich from the garage sale? Is the next lunch on you? rofl, no really, it looks much better and now you deserve a fat cookie!
Oh, speaking of rewards! How's the smoking thing going? I remembered something another xangan lady who was trying to quit wrote last September, if you would like to read it. Let me know and I'll get it for you.
I forgot to mention, they might not be as great a seats as last season but I would take them. I love baseball and yet I have NEVER been to a major or minor league game. AND our house was only 1 and a half hours from Litlle Rock which is home to the Arkansas Travelers. They used to be for the St. Louis Cards but I don't know who they are under now.
Very impressive on the before-and-after shots. So satisfying. I'm almost motivated myself, but not quite, unfortunately.
Say hi to my brother-in-law if you run into him at the games.
He's a big Giants fan too.
@indigolady - Power surge was caused by the power company, but the phone company didn't charge me for the modem replacement because their record shows the modem was only five months old. I can't remember how old it is; I know it's older than that, but probably not old enough to be out of warranty.
I made enough at the garage sale to cover my weekly Le Target run, with some extra non-essential items purchased. So not a fortune...
And when you come to my neck of the woods, if it's baseball season, we'll go to a game together!
@angelena99 - What section is your b-i-l in? Like I could find him out of the thousands of fans...
