So once again we find ourselves here at work without a doctor. For the rest of the week. The good news is, this is only a 3 day week for me, as I have Turkey day off and Friday is my natural day off. The bad news is, I still have plenty to do around this joint. Tomorrow they are pulling one of my nurses to another site so I get to fill in on her slot while going through some in-house training on getting everyone up to par on the requirements of the lab and all the associated paperwork with it. Ye gods, I always said you could do adequate nursing if it weren't for all the paperwork. Years ago when I worked at the hospital, I predicted the day would come when we would need a nurse on staff to do nothing but paperwork. I've come to understand that the bitches who hold the title of "risk management" fall into that category, but I digress.
So tomorrow is Jason's birthday and we celebrated this weekend. I took him to P.F. Chang's and it was incredible as always. We had to wait for an unholy amount of time to get in, but we kinda expected that since it was Saturday night. Sunday we sat around the house doin' a whole lotta nothing...until he forced me to watch "Nacho Libre". I knew from the get-go that it would be a terrible movie, and I was not disappointed. If I may borrow from Statler & Waldorf "I've seen detergants that left a better film!" Oh well, 2 hours left to go here and nothing to do but go through charts. Ugh.
