Life examined in winter snow.

Although, when you think about it, there's not snow anytime except winter...unless it's a freak time of the year.

Anyway, it was roasting hot in the office today so I stepped outside for some fresh air.  While I was looking up into the cloudy sky and soaking up the cool breeze, I got to thinking how fresh the air was.  Then I thought about how the air must have been when man first breathed.  And that led to what it would be like to breathe the air for the first time on a planet that man has never set foot on.  Then I realized I'd never travel in space, never see distant worlds, probably won't live to see any real significant strides in traveling outside this blue orb.  One lifetime is not enough to see what's going to happen.  I don't think most people are cut out for immortality, but I think I could handle it.  Oh sure, everyone says they'd rather live than die, but let's face it, people don't make the most of the time they have now, let alone being given the chance to never die.  They'd grow bored of living & try to find a way to kill themselves just so they'd have a new experience.  Not me though.  Being very patient in nature, I could go through the eons with child-like anticipation just to see what happens next.

I figure with the randomness I exhibit, I must qualify for some form of mental disease, and that's just one step away from a monthly check from Uncle Sam.  Now if I can just convience a psychiatrist....

Immortality???????  I couldn't handle it here on this earth.  I look forward too much to what awaits after in the next big adventure.  However you have very deep thoughts like me, impressive.

You definitely have too much spare time at work..lol.  Although ur thoughts do bring up a universal  question.... how long would we like to live if we had the choice?  At first it might be nice to see what changes the future in 50/100/150 years brings,  but what happens to our ageing ?  or  we stay the age we are now for eternity..... mmmmm.... think i will leave the immortality for u to play with.  Good luck convincing a psychiatrist !!!  LOL

We have 2 inches of the dreaded white stuff. I almost slipped and fell on my butt taking Shan to school.

Random posts are fun. Don't worry about the white coats just yet. :)

Ha!  No government checks for you.

Now Jason, on the other hand...I think Social Workers in general are certifiable.

Hmmp have not venture into that mind state so I would not know I mean yeah I say do and be all round random but i think u take the cake on this one.lol. I dont think I have actually thought of life forver never ending. but I think I would have to agree with you when you say that we will become like tired and like it would start to become lame. I have not giving it much thought , But I would love to be there when we get to live in space. I heard that theres like some space station or some shit that their making up there. I would like to see life like that ha Chaos!!  I like todays comic BTW.!

Wow, the things you think about. Maybe I need to get lost in the cosmos every now and then. Sounds like fun :)

I think you forget that in NH it snows in freakin November and April.  It should be warm then!  I wouldn't mind living for ever.  It would be cool to see the world change.  Even living for two hundred years or so would be interesting.  I love the South Park Christmas O Holy Night.  He hit every note!!!  Hilarious!

OK...so I am totally with you...I see "poor me, I'm immortal" vampires in shows...and think...."Suck it up douche - that would be fun." Then I watch ST Voyager...and think, "Isn't it sad I can't ride around on that ship. It'd be fun to be lost in the 25th century in a new quadrant."

I'd be with you...we could be immortal and have adventures for ever...only better jobs. We need better jobs.
