Yesterday, when I was almost ready to  turn into our driveway this little fellow tried to cross the road in front of me so that she could get back to her den to the east of us. This is one of the animals that took one of our chickens this summer. I had heard the chickens making noise and she was under our table on the back porch looking at a chicken that was sittin on the glass top table. I chasesd it away but later that day she still caught it.
It is hard to stay mad when something looks this way!

29 Oct, 2004  Day 2

This is day two. After a night of sleep, me and Pops load ourselves into the car and head off to get the Uhaul truck. We have to go to Pipsany (sp.) to pick it up. Driving with Dad is an experience that you have to be in to appreciate. We drive and drive, 25 miles, for what seems like forever and finnaly arrive. We get the truck, which is not a gas, but a desiel, (more expensive to fuel). Dad said he thought that it would be cheaper driving.
I hooked up the auto trailer and put his car on it, and we start for home. He said look for Union road and  follow it. Within a half of a block we turn onto the road and within a few minutes, seems like a mile or two, we are back home. A very round about trip to pick it up.
After dropping off the truck he and I hit the road. We are off to the cemetary to visit my half sides mothers grave. As we get there we get out and slowly walk up to the grave. I place a small sheep doll and a neckalace on the grave and say a little prayer for Bonnie for her mother. I also picked a small twig of holly that had some berries on it to take back for her. Also took some pictures.
Later that night me  and Dad go to an Italian reswturaunt. Man o man what a good meal. I really miss that being out here in South Dakota. And did I really miss a lot growing up in the south. Anyway, I wish you could have been there with me Sunshine. I WILL take you back there within the next 2 years.
After a nice meal we head back to the house for a nights rest before the packers come tommorrow. (Love You Sunshine!!!!)

(more to come later as I have time)

I now have a little time to right down my exdperience of my trip back to New Jersey to pick up my father-in-law to bring him out west to live with us.

28 Oct 2004:

My Darling wife and I get up at our normal time so that we can take care of the animals and make sure the son is off to school. After telling all the crittes goodbye and promising that I woulf br back soon we are off to the airport at 7:30.

After a few short goodbyes I'm off into the big blue. The flight from Rapid City to Minneapolis is pretty uneventual. On arriving in Minne. I have to run to catch my next flight and do make it on time and we take off on time.
This flight was full of rain and fog for the whole flight. It was very neat watching the rain run across the window in the plane. The landing was interesting in that we landed in total fog. I had a light sinus infection that I was getting over and the landing was killing me. The pressure in my ear was almost unbarable. I am now over the sinus problem. Made that landing fine and Pops was waiting at the airport in New Jersesy and we drove back to his house. Riding with an 82 yearold man in the east is quite an experience. brrrr!!!!

Well, here I sit, tired and homesick. I am in Lemmon, SD for one more day. I have been working up here since the middle of July on a remodel of an old hospital that has been converted into a nursing home. i have met a few very interesting  elders. One has a habbit of comeing by that room I am working in when I am down stairs and watching me. Today he came by 3 times and on the 3rd time he stood there for awhile when I was screwing in some sheetrock. He Snickered and Said, "For a little guy you sure make a lot of noise." He then laughed. It sure makes me feel good that they have someone that will talk and joke with them.

Next week I am on my way to New Jersey. I am going there to pick up my Father in law and move him out here in SD to live with us. It will be an experience for all . It will give my son some one to play chess with and give me and my halfside and chance for a break from the stres of raining a son that was ruined by his real mother. (That is another story) Anyway Iwill post more when I return from my trip!

Take care world and and may all learn to watch over and take care of you.

Here is a dream I had last week while working out of town. It is the first dream that I have had in a long time that I remembered.

I was walking in a field that green grass and off in the distance I could see some trees.

As I  was walking I noticed an eagle way off in the distance, it was a dark color as in a Golden eagle. It was acting in a normal manner while circling around in the blue sky.

As I got closer to the woods I noticed that all of the sudden the eagle was changing colors. It now was turning to a mottled white and dark spotted color, and was acting more agitated.

Within the next few minutes it changed into a Bald Eagle and was flying toward me. As it got closer it was gliding lower and closer. All of the sudden it landed about 20 feet from me and started walking toward me.

When it got right next to me I put my hand out to it and it reached up and got hold of it with its beak.

It started leading me toward the woods to an area that had a stream in it. When we got to the stream it led me along the bank a short distance and I noticed a small tent right on the bank. It was a dingy grey and seemed to be covered in dust and something that reminded me of spider webs.

When I looked in the tent I saw a young woman curled in a tight fetal position, a rabbit, and a Coyote. I am not sure what was or had been happening but I new the woman was being held against her will. I got the rabbit out and had Bonnie watch it farther down by the stream. I somehow disabled or got rid of the coyote.

At this point I woke up.
