see relatedI have indeed managed to do exactly as I had planned for the weekend... Basically nothing. Success has a sweet taste.
Anyways. Yesterday, since I had no homework to think of, I complied a list of the books for extra credit for humanities. Then I mosied to the Bluff City Library (BCL) (I've read all of the books in the Teen Fiction section). The list had 11 books on it... most of which were by classic authors that I presumed the BCL would have... but boy was I wrong. Of those 11 books, the BCL only had 1. That's it. Granted it was the one book I was actually interested in reading, but thats a minor detail- they only had 1 book was the main point. So I ended up leaving the library with that book and 3 others (I just couldn't help myself). Then, since it was a lovely day, I decided to go up to the graveyard and read to a hydrania bush named Florence (Flo for short). You see, Flo is an OLD bush and my grandmother and I decided last summer to give Flo some love, because she had been neglected for years and needed lots of love. So we give her manure and lime (to change the color of her leaves)... I also believe that telling a plant stories stimulates growth and flowering and generally just makes the plant happy. So I read the plant part of this lovely book- which as I thought, it is amazing, and I'm almost done with it :) I also had a lovely conversation with Flo, where we talked about things, such as books, what I'm doing in school, how her winter was, if I was considering adopting any other plants, and other silly philosophical things.
I really hope this week isn't horribly stressful.
I also found out that along with working weekends up at Wingdeer Park, and Commission Meetings in JC and Kingsport, I will be working at Appalachian Caverns a couple days a week. I know/love the people who work up there, and they needed another someone to give tours. And since I had worked up there throughout the month of October, I was e-mailed first- plus there's the fact that they totally love me, I mean who doesn't?
Once again, I really hope this week isn't stressful, and I hope that God warms up East Tennessee and doesn't send us snow or rain for that matter.
