My headaches were related to my sinusitis.  I very rarely get migraines, but the last one was awful.
I got put on 2 new medicines (now I'm up to 13 meds) that seem to help.

Been really busy with housework today; my brand new housecleaner is coming on Monday for 3 hours-have a lot she can do, that I am not capable of doing.

Going to be 73 here today--beautiful, and warmer than normal.

Why do I love my cats?  They offer unconditional love, and are very smart in detecting one's feelings.
Morgan, especially, seems to know when I'm down, but Milee is catching on.

Here's some music for you!

Poi Dog Pondering
Poi Dog Pondering
1989

The one-of-a-kind world-beat folk-rock outfit Poi Dog Pondering first came into being in Waikiki, Hawaii, though it's since made both Austin, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois, home at different times. With a fluctuating lineup that sometimes swells to a dozen members, each contributing to the ensemble's incredible multi-instrumental sound, Poi Dog Pondering comes off like a wandering Gypsy caravan—easy-going, loose-limbed, good-humored, and always on the move. With a history that now stretches back more than two decades, the group has a long discography under their multicolored belt, but the best place to start remains exactly where the band began, with its self-titled 1989 debut. Actually a compilation of two earlier, independently released EPs, Poi Dog Pondering presents the band at its most friendly and immediate.

Centered on main man Frank Orrall's lightly humorous, always good-natured songwriting, Poi Dog Pondering produces an upbeat folk-rock sound that incorporates world-music influences with the unassuming grace of a seasoned backpacker. "Living With the Dreaming Body" opens the disc with a sailing tin whistle and fast-strummed acoustic guitar. "Robin's in the metaphysical section," Orrall sings over the band’s funky folk groove, "She's sprawled out along the carpet floor." The song utilizes an unusual structure for such appealing pop-rock, traveling from casual, off-the-cuff lyrical observations to swinging instrumental passages and back again. Another highlight (and original EP title track), "Circle Around the Sun," features wailing horns, clacking percussion, and rumbling bass. Here Orrall's half-spoken verse gives way to a beautiful, lifting chorus, bolstered by lovely male-female harmonies.

The band's Hawaiian heritage comes across on several tracks, granting the album a laid-back tropical vibe. Perhaps the most striking example is on the appropriately titled "Aloha Honolulu," a jumping, retro swing that even sounds like it's been piped through a 1940s transistor set. The brass section brings the song to life with squawking, bopping horns, which cross each other just as the sound of waves lapping at the sandy shore rises in the mix. Throughout Poi Dog Pondering, the band delivers this kind of highly enjoyable, low-key music: the sound of gifted musicians having a gay old time and passing along the joy to all who will listen.

The following documents details of lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's U.S. Citizenship.  If true, he is not eligible to be a Presidential Candidate.  I wish his campaign and/or the DNC would provide the documents disputing this or stop avoiding the truth.  Very interesting reading and makes a good case.  Actual case record which is filed:

Hmmm...

I'm going into the emergency room this afternoon, to have my headaches looked into; not sure if they have to do with my circulation, or what.  Maybe just a med change?

It's beautiful here, and should reach 70 this afternoon, I'm-a gonna have to get my butt outside and enjoy it!

Hope all of you have a great Wednesday!

I love you!!

Sing with the flatterer
of the air
Drift with the
motion
of the wind

Move fast,
move slow
wiggle to
and fro

Inhale the ground's
fresh scent
Feel the lower sun's
fresh rays

Feel plopped on
feel brushed against
feel blown around
feel touched

What is it we speak of?
What is the subject?
Why Autumn of course
With her fresh colorful leaves!

Some food for thought

Elder's Meditation of the Day - October 6

"Lots of people hardly ever feel real soil under their feet, see plants grow except in flower pots, or get fare enough beyond the street light to catch the enchantment of a night sky studded with stars. When people live far from scenes of the Great Spirit's making, it's easy for them to forget His laws."
--Tatanga Mani (Walking Buffalo), STONEY
Nature is life's greatest teacher. The natural laws are hidden in nature. Hidden are solutions to everyday problems such as conflict resolution, how to forgive, lessons about differences, how to manage organizations, how to think. Hidden are feelings. You can look at something and you will feel it. At night, have you ever looked at the sky when there are no clouds? As you look at all the stars, your heart will become very joyful. You will walk away feeling joyful and peaceful. We need to visit nature so we can see and feel these things.

My Creator, let me learn nature's lessons.

Healing Angel
Patrick Bernard
2007

With his smoldering French vocals purring over shimmering soundscapes of harp, tamboura, guitar, flute, violin, and angelic chorus, Patrick Bernard knows how to put listeners in a relaxed and tranquil mood. He's been devoted to making healing music since he was a child and seems to bring several lifetimes of knowledge and karmic grace to Ange de Guerison (or Healing Angel). From the opening track’s warming cascades of harp glissandos and spine-awakening tamboura notes to the final rushing melodic climax of chimes, vocals, and windy synths, you know you are in capable hands. Whether or not you believe in angels, you will believe in Bernard and his use of "quantum resonance" to align your listening body to the movements of the spheres through heavenly music. His spiritual vibe knows no borderlines; monks and singers on the album come from all sides of the globe.

The liner notes call Ange de Guerison a "65-minute quantum prayer of love and healing," and if this doesn't do it, nothing well. "Angel of Love" is a languidly tinkling collection of chimes, slide guitar, and Chinese flute over which Bernard croons like a Gallic chanson singer mourning a lost love while out on a frozen Tibetan lake, the northern lights coming over the glacier tips. Each angel in Bernard's flock gets a song: love, sky, light, healing, the universe, and so on.

You might not be able to understand the French with which he woos the universe, but it hardly matters; the universe understands perfectly, and it passes the message onto you. Beginning with the quietude of "Angel of the Earth," the amour Bernard feels slowly increases until the peaceful bliss is gradually heightened to the melancholy bliss of the duet "Angel of the Inverse." Here Bernard croons with a female vocalist over sweeping vocal winds, harp strums, Chinese erhu violins, wooden flutes, and those glistening harps, building to cathartic crescendos that gradually ebb and flow back to stillness. A place where delirious Gallic passion meets sublime spiritual stillness, Bernard's beautiful Ange de Guerison is the answer to our quantum prayers.

No heat yet in this darned apartment!  We're getting lows in the 40's, plus some 30's, and it gets cold in here!
I told the manager that I called a tenant advocacy place and was told that the code for St Louis Park is as
    follows:

    Sect 15-319

"From September 1st through June 1st, a temperature of 68 degrees must be maintained."

That must be hard for them to understand, because the answer I got was, 'Well, we'll have to check the boiler
and maybe (?!) turn the heat on.  This pisses me off!  I know already that the owner is very cheap, and he'll try to get away with anything!

OK, so I griped.  Something needs to be done-other people are cold, too.  Granted, our highs have been in the 60's, bit cools down at night.  'Nuff said?

Feel like posting some fall color pictures.  I love fall, just don't like the season that comes after it!  I'm acquainted with a guy whose family moved to Virginia-to avoid the snow-wish I could do something like that.  Anyways, here we go:

    This one's a background

    Here's another background

Thought I had more, will need to look further!

Boy, people are sure coming down on smokers!  Even the maintenance man gave me a tough time today.
Smoker's have rights, and those rights are being taken away.  Seems to me the government is getting into too much of our private lives.  We have rights, quit taking them away!

Need to run to friend's for some chit-chat; glad to find out she's not contagious, as she's been sick.
Gonna drag my Coke on over there...

    I love you!!
