Nightlife...
Can be dangerous. But that doesn't necessarily mean that I don't know how to take care of myself. I may be short and thin, but I have brains too!
LOL.
Last night I went to Revolution, which is some distance away from the shopping area. Most of us were supposed to go, and I did travel with a group, but half of us did not show up. Oh well, I couldn't have cared less because I was too busy having fun.
I encountered two guys and danced for a bit with them. I wasn't that interested in them that much to be honest, though.

Welcome to London
I totally meant to blog about last weekend yesterday, but I seriously had to get a head start on my effing anaesthesia paper. Two full pages so far...and as it turns out the rough draft isn't due till Thursday, NOT tomorrow. Thank God for that. I have enough time to get it done, if I even have enough time.
LOL.
But anyway, let me elaborate on last weekend.
You will never guess where I was during that period of time.
LONDON!
I wasn't planning to go in the first place, really...but a whole group was going to go, and let's just say I couldn't resist their influence. Besides, it might have been the chance of a lifetime, and when it comes to those I never pass them up.
So I went with five (or was it six?) other people, and from Cambridge we took the three hour bus trip to London, where we got off (finally) at Victoria Station. The first thought that came into my head was..."Wow." London really is a magnificent city, and I definitely want to live there now! I always was a huge city person anyway, I guess in big part to me coming from New York City.
For the most part of the day we walked around, absorbed the culture, had some lunch, and later on, met up with some other people who had gone to see King Lear at the Globe. King Lear sounds like a fascinating play, but I'd rather read it first before actually going to see it.
When everyone got together, that's when things began to go sour.
One person, who I'll call S, really REALLY wanted to go to Harrod's, and as to please him, we went there. Not that the rest of us actually wanted to either, considering that Harrod's is effing expensive, and it felt like we were brown spots on its marbled floor. The store was beautiful, though, but I know I couldn't really afford to shop there unless I got rich all of a sudden.
Blair Waldorf would love it there, though. Haha.
But let me go on. After Harrod's, we were all walking around looking for a decently-priced place to eat, and out of desperation (mainly) settled on some Italian restaurant where the food was great, but wasn't worth the prescribed price.
After dinner we wound up walking around a little more, and ended up splitting up, which was sad but a blessing in disguise because those who stayed (including me), had more fun anyway. We stayed up all night and headed out to Hyde Park where we tried to get some sleep, and half of us did, at some point or another.
The next day, we went to the British Museum, Sainsbury's, and finally, HOME.
The bus ride was rather interesting...but I'll tell you about it afterwards today.
EDIT:
About the bus ride...it was interesting, about three hours long, and I got to sit with a cute guy, but it had its downsides too.
These three women came onto the bus midway during the ride, and they had two babies with them. The children were adorable, but one of the women had the nerve to change one of their diapers right there on the bus (I kid you not) and it all reeked. Seriously. I practically coughed when I got a (huge) whiff of it, and had to cover my nostrils with my jacket.
Why the hell would you change your kid's diaper on the bus? It's effing disgusting, and you have to remember that there will be people on the bus. Consider them before changing a diaper. Better yet, do it before you even get on the bus.

Face It
I should be writing my paper for anaesthesia...but I'm hanging out on Facebook. LOL. And blogging here, also.
So here are my plans for this weekend:
1. Doing my laundry (Gah...it's got to be to done, though)
2. Wash my hair, probably after I do number one
3. Start work on paper (Sunday evening is the proposed deadline)
4. Go sightseeing
5. Write postcards
I think that's it.
At home, this weekend seems to be the weekend for weddings. Mom is going to one on Saturday, and so is L. I will be missing out on the nupitals, but for now, I'd rather be in England anyway.

Poison Ivy
And no, I'm not talking about Gossip Girl. Today I fell off my rented bike and into, unfortunately, a huge bush of poison ivy. As a result I'm pink and itching all over. Well, not really. But I'm pink and itching in some places, which is pretty inconvenient. Gah. -
The Drinking Diaries...Continued
I was going to mention this yesterday, but I got seriously rushed.
On Monday I had a half-pint of light beer and hours after a glass of wine. LOL. That's why the entry was called "The Drinking Diaries". I would have gotten into more detail, but right now, I don't feel like doing it. Maybe later.
I will say this, though...
That light beer reinforced my complete dislike of beer. It was Australian...which I guess made it disgusting and grainy to begin with. Ugh. But the wine was rather delicious. Unfortunately, though, it made me somewhat tipsy, but I didn't have a bad hangover or throw up afterwards. Thank God for that.
Next time I order alcohol, I'm eating beforehand and getting wine instead of beer.
Enough said.
Also, I do have one more thought. Since I will be away from the computer for most of the day and not be able to spend as much time on Xanga as I wish, I will not be reading everyone else's updates. I am sorry and hope it does not bother you in any way. I don't have internet access in my dorm, and the computer lab here is the only way I'll be able to get on, if I manage to during the day.
I will be blogging, though, so don't get your fishnets in a twist.
