I intended to tell him the truth; I'd have to, if on Sunday I wanted to run off with some "slack-jawed Suzy", some "invertebrate", a "post-pubescent wasteoid who imagines the Khmer Rouge to be makeup and Guerilla warfare to be that rivalry which occurs between apes"
Since dedicating my life to the betterment of my standard of the Chinese language, even Youtube was not spared on a rampage to look for anything remotely associated to my Mother tongue. So imagine my joy when I found this video there, it's like my favourite Chinese song ever. (Let's try to ignore the fact that I really only know two)
I used to listen to this song all the time on the bus rides in Chennai on Audrey's iPod. Along with High school musical 2 and S Club 7 songs.. y'know, because I'm like, Primary 4.
Other measures I've taken to improve my Chinese:
#1 Put in a lot of effort to work hard during Chinese tuition so I actually benefit from the sessions. What, you mean writing a five-line paragraph for a compo about violence in school in two hours isn't considered 'working hard'?
#2 Eat only Chinese food everyday; recess, lunch, dinner, supper: rice, noodles, rice, noodles. Because you are what you eat, right?
#3 Okay, so I'm kind of drawing a blank here.. I think my younger sister visited Chinatown two days ago on an excursion. Does that count?
