Recycled Posts
Let's say you have more than a couple readers, and that in turn causes you to feel pressure to blog about interesting things, rather than the inanity of the day or what you did over the weekend. But you may not have anything on your mind to blog about, nor anything happening in which to amuse your readers.
BUT your blog is 6 years old, and thankfully you HAVE quite a few fairly interesting posts. Is it ok to recycle those really good posts when you are having a slow week?
I'm considering it.
What say you?

as long as I'll be able to understand what's going on (like letting me know that it's an old post), then I think it's a great idea! I don't see anything wrong with that.
While I think drunk people were put on this earth for my amusement, you don't need to write something entertaining every day to please anyone. It's your blog. Write about whatever you want and for me (can't speak for everyone else), if I have a comment, I'll throw my 2 cents in. Otherwise, I'm just learning about you.
i think it's perfectly fine. i've been thinking of doing this myself-- pulling together a few of my favorites. i'll probably label it as such just for authenticity's sake.
Why not? especially if it's a good one.
I'd say just put a link to the old post as opposed to copying the entire text.
Why not, preachers recycle their sermons, I agree with another person who gave a comment, its your blog and as I told you before, you are a great writer so you could take something like your everyday life situations and make it very interesting. Look how long "Seinfeld" did it.
Keep up the good work,

I don't see a problem. If it will help ease your conscience, consider starting or ending with a tagline like "originally posted on (date)". It'd also be a good idea to read over the original post pretty well first; maybe a few ideas need tweaking or could be added or removed. But as long as the post reflects what you want to say, then go for it. Anyone who doesn't like it can ask for their money back.
Definitely! That's not a bad idea. Certainly not one I would've thought of. It sounds like a great way to look back, make observations, etc.
I agree with Mixed Blessings & BloodTypo.
