| Pat and I decided to head to Chicago for some much needed vacation and to use our free Southwest tickets. Although we ate some delicious food, we definitely burned a lot of calories by walking at least 6 miles each day. Here is a brief recap of our adventures in Chicago. We took over 1500+ photos, so here's just a few.
We landed at Midway Airport Thursday afternoon. We were starving so we headed over to Potbelly Sandwich Works to share a sandwich. Afterwards, we checked into the Hyatt Regency and settled in before having a delicious dinner at the Chicago Chophouse. Pat had the Primerib and I had the bone-in Filet Mignon.
Friday, we had lunch at Oprah's Ex-Chef's restaurant, Table 52. I had the infamous Pistachio Chicken and Pat had the Pulled Pork Open Faced Sandwich. The food was okay, not all that it was hyped up to be.

We met up with Brittany and Ted for dinner at Giordano's for Chicago Style Pizza. I'm not really into pizza, but this one wasn't too bad.
Saturday we had brunch at Rick Bayless' Restaurant, Frontera Grill. Good vibes and delicious food.
Afterwards, we went on the Wendella Architecture Boat Tour to take in all the beautiful and unique architecture Chicago has to offer. Sears Tower:
Corn Cobs:
In the afternoon, we went to Chinatown, the Art District, and Greek Town. That was such a tiring walk... Sunday, we spent most of the day at the Lincoln Park Zoo, which by the way is FREE. I think that is so awesome. It was also Earth Day at the Zoo, so there were some free concerts, including Meshell Ndegeocello, who currently endorses for Mono.

Monday, we had brunch at Orange Juicing Company, a place Giada DeLaurentis visited on one of her Weekend Getaways. The food was pretty good. We then walked over to the Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute of Chicago, the "Married with Children" Fountain, Millenium Park, and Cloud Gate.

For dinner, we discovered Devon Seafood Grill, which had the BEST service and delicious food! Definitely recommend this place! Then dessert at the Four Seasons hotel. All I have to say is, nothing beats the Four Seasons in Wailea.
Monday, we went to see the view at Hancock Observatory and of course picked up some Garrett Popcorn to take home.
Finally, Janice, if you're reading this, this is for you: | | |
| Wow, I haven't signed into Xanga in months! All this new stuff looks so complicated. Anyway, Pat and I decided to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary early by going to Chicago. Pictures to come.

| Well, a couple weeks ago, my
manager told our entire team that we can no longer work at home. She
didn't specify a particular reason, but I think she just wants us ALL
to be there ALL the time so she can look good to her boss. With that
being said, looks like its time to look for a new job! Last week, my
team and I went to Pasadena for a couple days despite the fires. This
was absolutely the worst business trip ever. Being stuck with a team
who just wants to kiss each other butts. So annoying! Even more
reason to look for a new job. So, if any of you know of any job
opportunities, please let me know!
This past weekend, my Mom and
I threw Jessica and Greg a Baby Shower for my soon to be niece! I
received a lot of compliments on decor, games, and favors. Perhaps I
should be an event planner!

| A continuation of Maui...
Friday afternoon we headed over to the Four Seasons Resort and Spa in Wailea. The Four Seasons is so awesome! I absolutely LOVE this hotel! As soon as we got out of the car, I was greeted with a flower lei, and Pat with a twisted palm leaf lei. Our hostess than handed us some ice cold Orange Blossom Tea. While checking in, the front desk lady asked us if we would like an ice towel as well to stay cool.
We got to our room and I was in awe. So beautiful!

The bathroom was huge! It even had a built in stereo, so you can listen to music while you wash up.

After settling into our room, someone knocked on our door and gave us a complimentary box of cookies:
We then headed to the Wedding Rehearsal and Rehearsal dinner at the Seawatch Restaurant. I'm not really one for cheesecake, but the mango cheesecake was delicious!

Saturday, I went on a mission to find Nicole Ritchie, who we heard was staying at the hotel. We indeed found her by the pool!
Anyway, Four Seasons provides complimentary sunscreen by the pool. They even have workers walking around with ice towels and Evian spritzer for your face. Pat and I decided to have lunch at Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante located on site. The food was delicious! Pat had a salmon burger with chili seasoned fries and I had the sesame crusted salmon over soba noodles. Yum! We both had the Guava lemonade! So good!
Saturday evening was Taylor and Erin's wedding! Congratulations to Taylor and Erin! What a beautiful wedding!
