I got the job at Starbucks on Wednesday!! Thank you Lord! It's really amazing how it all worked out..it all went so smoothly..and it really helped to have some connections - thanks to Ryan and Cheryl :) It's also super convenient that the store is like 5 minutes from my house! I start training on Monday, and hopefully I won't be completely overwhelmed..well I probably will be :) Pray for me!
I also just started volunteering at the West Pasco Pregnancy Center. What an amazing ministry! It's just an awesome thing to actively be a part of saving lives and offering hope to young women in this community. My job right now is to find corporate sponsors for their annual "Walk For Life." Wanted to share with you some verses that our speaker in chapel spoke on this morning. It was such a challenge to me. As a follower of Jesus Christ I have the reponsibility of representing Him to the world. He calls us to be holy and righteous..no longer living as we did before we came to Him. Are we living lives of contradiction??
13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:13-16
11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
