| | In awe of our Great God!Praise the Lord!! George made it safely back to Indianapolis! Continue to pray for him and for the doctors, that the Lord will give them wisdom in treating George.
After this week, I am overwhelmed by the power of our God, and amazed by the Body of Christ!! To see so many friends and family all around the world come along side the Markeys in prayer and financial support just astounds me. Praise God for His faithfulness and His provision! I see the love of Christ in and through everything that has transpired this past week..in such a real, tangible way. What a challenge and encouragement it's been to me to see believers who are serious about their faith and actively supporting and caring for one another. I am truly blessed to know the Markeys and through them so many precious brothers and sisters in Christ.
When I think about Jon's dad I think of such a passionate servant of God. His life speaks so loudly of what it means to follow Jesus..to surrender all for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I really believe that though his ministry is taking a new face at this point, it is not ending...it's only beginning. Not only have George and Pam had such a great impact on the lives of many around the world, but they have raised up such godly children who will carry on the work that God has called them to. By God's grace I pray that Jonny and I (and our children someday) will follow George and Pam's example, to live each day surrendered to the call of God, walking by faith and not by sight.
Psalm 128 came to mind. The blessing of a God-fearing family..
Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruiful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the Lord. The Lord bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life. Yes, may you see your children's children.
Peace be upon Israel!
