| The Last RoseThe Last Rose
A white rose stood on the hill lonely and forlorn
Not understanding or knowing how things became broken and torn
She cries her tears in the darkness wrapped in herself against the night
Crying red tears, stained with heartwrenching anguish diminishing her might
'Til one day there came another white rose
Budding beside her it furiously grows
She watched it and wondered why it should choose
To stand close beside her his white petals he could loose
But he stood close beside her and watched the hillside
And enjoyed ever hour and day that went by
'Til one day too soon when she was crying red tears
He looked unto her and tried to calm all her fears
And in that moment he lost his white petal's pristin
Wishing from her those sorrows he did not glean
He turned away angry, regretful, and confused
Leaving her alone his actions to bemuse
Desperate and pleading afraid to loose her friend
She goes to his side hoping for things to soon mend
But as she draws near her thorns is all he does feel
He recoils he shudders the pain far too real
He can't hear her voice he can't hear her screams
He hears his own words and knows not what she means
It was a mistake now it's over the past is now gone
Now go and be happy and let me move on
So the days past and she sunk in his shade
As he reached for the sun and grew without the white maid
The rains came down cleansing and washed his red to white
While she stayed below forgotten and well out of sight
And now what once was a glorious white rose
Has turned now to red from the pain that now flows
Sometimes she'll catch a glimpse of him in the warm summer air
Not a pain not a sorrow nothing but joy he does bear
Will he remember her will he again try?
To wrap her in kindness and in love to abide?
She wonders she waits she still sits alone
Sometimes she hopes and sometimes she bemoans
Forgotten she was forgotten she'll be
From the pain that's inside she never is free
Is there another will she ever see?
No, the last rose he was the last rose he'll be

| Well, I got tagged by Studboy so now, supposedly, I must say 5 strange
things about myself....it is difficult being limited to five...
1) I like taking pictures of mushrooms (to be posted at a later time).
2) I find horseback riding in the rain in a foreign country strangly thrilling. (Africa 2004, Lesotho ponies are the bomb).
3) I spar frequently and bruise easily. It's a wonder I don't look like a dried fig.
4) I can probably speak more Elvish than I can Latin (which I took for two years).
5) And finally, I really, really like turkey and avacado sandwiches...or just avacados.
I tag...anyone who cares to be tagged (which may be myself at a later time). Peace out.

| Today's pondering...Have you ever wondered if spiders fart...?
And what about fish?
I guess it would explain the bubbles...
