Yesterday we pulled all the old lap siding off of the front of the house and used it to patch the places where we closed up windows on the other sides. I was the official nail puller and general go-fer. It was slow going but made things look much better. Last night we had paint mixed to touch up with. Today we will go buy new siding like what is under the carport and insulate the now naked front and hang it. Then we get to paint. You all know how much I love painting... Ugh! It is supposed to start raining again tomorrow or Friday so we need to get a lot done today.
No word yet on the offer we made on the acreage.

Good luck on getting the offer. Sure wish we could get some rain. We have fires burning all over NM. Supposed to be real windy today.
I have to take Cyndi to physical therapy today.
My cousin had 3 stents put in his heart last Wed. and 3 more yesterday. He is hanging in there.

I am just curious - how do you get packed and everything in such a short time? We may have 6-8 weeks and I am stressed, but I also have two little ones under foot. Any advice?
Hope you get everything done and they accept the offer you put in for the land. Can't wait to here an update. When do you actually move?
@IEB - IF we get the acerage we will load the moving van on the Monday after Mother's Day and head out early, early Tuesday. If not we will have to put everything in storage while we wait for a rent house to become available. In that case we will leave the end of the week instead of the first part. I am not too stressed becasue we just moved here less than 6 months ago and this is an itty bitty house. Lots of purging went on before so this time it should be pretty simple.
My hubby and son did some painting in the cabin they are building for said son and dil, but when my dil saw it, they were forbidden from painting again!!
Even on a house, painting is an art!! Hope it went well.
