| | Top Ten Favorite Characters (because I feel like it, that's why)
10. Turtle, The Westing Game--she kicks people in the shins and ends up a multi-millionaire. How could she not make the list?
9. Hector, the Iliad--mainly because of his monologue about why he fought for Troy. . .-sigh-
8. Atticus, To Kill a Mockingbird--I shouldn't have to explain this one.
7. Maximus, Gladiator--"Strength and Honor!"
6. Huck, Huckleberry Finn--because Huck is flippin' awesome.
5. Clarisse, Fahrenheit 451--I copied almost every word she said into my journal and was heartbroken when she died.
4. Jerry Renault, The Chocolate War--he's one of the most believable teenage boys I've ever read about, and for some reason, I liked him.
3. Alice, Alice in Wonderland--did you know she has an identity crisis? It's hilarious! And I can completely identify with the whole 'fall down a rabbit hole and meet a whole bunch of really bizarre people.'
2. The Monster, Frankenstein--the most underappreciated character ever, bar none. And his name is not Frankenstein.
1. The Beast, Beauty and the Beast--I absolutely adored him until he turned into that sissy pretty boy at the end of the movie. (stupid hollywood) |
